Marwan Saleh
1950
Marwan Saleh (b. 1950, Lebanon) is a Lebanese sculptor. He sculpted mostly olive tree wood because of its pronounced veins, which enhance his turbulent figurations, but he also worked on blackberry and cedarwood. His sculptures are intimate, not exceeding forty centimetres in height, refuse the straight line and often take complicated curving movements.
