Untitled (Public Health)
Tamara Al Samerraei
This work is an immersive installation for the chemotherapy bays at the hospital. Tamara Al Samerraei draws on the familiar imagery of postcards—beaches, mountains, and tourist sites—transforming them into small watercolor paintings. These paintings were photographed and printed onto the curtains surrounding the chemotherapy beds, turning four treatment spaces into serene, dreamlike cubicles. By surrounding patients with scenes reminiscent of a holiday postcard, the installation offers a momentary escape and a sense of ease during treatment.
