Our Database of Public Art Practices is an on-going research project archiving public art interventions that have taken place in Lebanon from 1980 to present day.

This project focuses on the legal interdiction to migrant laborers to perform music publicly in Lebanon. This is because the legal restrictions on performing music is under the purview of the Artist Visa, rooted in French mandate laws which still regulate prostitution in Lebanon.
