Disregarding the Unsightly to See
Jalal Toufic
Can an installation that takes place in Hamra street and area be seen at all? Would the one who did not take enough precautions to not be damaged by the unsightliness of that street and area be able to see? Disregarding the Unsightly to See is an installation divided into two parts: Condition of Vision presents manners of avoiding Hamra’s detrimental effects on vision while Instance of Vision presents images of an otherwise overlooked Hamra Street activity: shoe-shining.
