Our Database of Public Art Practices is an on-going research project archiving public art interventions that have taken place in Lebanon from 1980 to present day.
Loulwa Abdelbaki (b. 1965, Lebanon) is a fashion designer. Her clothing features innovative cuts, stylish, easy to wear original designs which are recognizable everywhere. In 1990, she opened Kalabsha in Beirut; an Artisan fashion brand that designs prêt à porter fashion clothing for women. It is geared toward liberated women of all ages that strive to escape from the hegemonic and overbearing fashion moulds.
