Artist Profile
Hussein Nassereddine is a multidisciplinary artist living and working between Beirut (Lebanon) and Paris (France). His practice spans installation, writing, video, and performance, centering around language and the construction of fragile monuments – verbal, sonic, and tactile – rooted in collective histories, poetry, ruins, and image-making.
Host
Located in the heart of Paris, 15 Beautreillis is a polyvalent gallery that champions contemporary artists unbound by geography, working across media and disciplines, and engaging with the vital concerns of the present moment. The gallery values collaboration, experimentation, and the belief that art enables the experience of alternative imaginaries.
As part of this mission, 15 Beautreillis hosted the first wave of TAP’s fundraising initiative to support displaced communities in Lebanon. Initially intended to finance the In the Blink of an Eye billboard project, the fundraiser was redirected to urgent humanitarian aid. Limited-edition artist prints were sold, with all proceeds going to Tunefork Studios, The Great Oven, and the Beirut Synthesizer Center. The initiative will soon be expanded to new locations.
Studio & Residency
15 Beautreillis is hosting Hussein Nassereddine as an artist-in-residence, providing him with a temporary atelier in the gallery’s lower level. This initiative, in collaboration with TAP, offered Nassereddine a space to work amidst the ongoing crises in Lebanon, granting him the opportunity to develop his artistic practice in a supportive environment. Alongside his residency, video works by video journalist and performer Lujain Jo and multidisciplinary artists Racha Baroud and Yara Boustany/Nader Bahsoun were screened.
This residency aligns with TAP’s broader efforts to support artists affected by displacement, using the collaboration with 15 Beautreillis to offer artistic refuge and creative freedom.
