A Room Without Walls
Ghida Hachicho, LIGNA, Alejandro Ahmed, Eisa Jocson
Where can children from all over the world come together beyond national borders? In “A Room without Walls”, children from Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Beirut and La Union in the Philippines go on a special search for clues: together they imagine and create a “room without walls” a space that can be entered from anywhere, where they can listen to one another, learn about each other, and move together. Through voice messages, sound recordings, and experimental choreographies, the children explore what a shared future could look like in a world where challenges can only be solved together. Guided by artists, they shape this imaginative space that transcends continents, brought to life through movement and sound. A Room without Walls is a performative radio play that takes the audience on a journey through headphones—from the places where the project was created to hidden, adventurous passages that unfold through sound. Finally, it leads to the room without walls, a space of new encounters and shared movement, waiting to be discovered.
